FTSMAC: A Multi-Channel Hybrid Reader Collision Avoidance Protocol for RFID Network

چکیده
Due to the emergence of Internet Things, need for effective identification and traceability has increased. Radio-frequency (RFID), a simple cheap approach gathering information, therefore drawn attention research communities. However, this system suffers from problems caused by high density, such as collisions duplication. Thus, deployment RFID is more in dense environment where it may improve overage delays. A wide range solutions have been proposed; however, majority these are based on application context. In paper, we propose general MAC layer protocol FTSMAC (Frequency Time Scheme MAC) which spectrum frequency efficiently used dividing signal into different time slots via messaging mechanism readers. This limits high-density that affect performance system. our solution allows communication converge stable state within convenient time.

a typical radio frequency identification system (rfid) includes one reader and a number of tags. the reader transmit to commands to the tags with interrogation radio signals, and tags receive the command and then respond with their identification. readers with interrogation signals can read tags’ responses. in rfid systems, when multiple tags respond to one reader simultaneously, tag collision ...

The medium-access control (MAC) protocols for wireless networks proposed or implemented to date based on collision-avoidance handshakes between sender and receiver either require carrier sensing or the assignment of unique codes to nodes to ensure that intended receivers hear data packets without interference from hidden sources. We present and analyze a new collision-avoidance MAC protocol tha...
